Wireless New York; It's Benefits Revealed

Smart Mobs has put up an interesting link today.
For a mere $10 per person all 5 boroughs of New York could be made wireless thus allowing for some extremely beneficial new innovations. Such as;
Give firefighters the ability to download the blueprints of a burning building on the way to a fire;
Give residents the ability to receive information from and communicate instantly with emergency personnel during a disaster or terror attack including underground in the subway;
Provide New York commuters like those in Washington and London -- real-time updates on arrival times, departures, and service disruptions of subways, buses, trains and ferries.

Cell phone technology is now at the point that you can do all of this on your personal phone/mp3 player/web browser/windows interface. It is time for all of the cities to begin to implement this sort of network. Additional ideas of how this sort of thing could be used?
1. Amber alerts
2. Home computers linked to home security
3. GPS locators
4. Storm warnings
5. Crime alerts
6. Even rare bird sightings
7. Use your imagination

Chicago Does It Again. Crime Loses

Chicago has combined web cameras with sound technology that listens for and recognizes gun shots and pinpoints the source with triangulation. The loser? Crime. Some would protest about big brother but I for one am glad to know that something is being done about crime.

When the cameras hear gunshots they immediately point towards the source of the noise. Thus they are immediately on guard to catch the perp who is fleeing the area. This technology is being developed now for use on humvees so soldiers can discern where shots are coming from.

The losers? Criminals. Yes, this could be used against us if there was ever a revolution or something, but for peace time it is a great development. Chicago is proving to be the leader of the war against crime. So far, I am very grateful for what they are doing.

Kelo Decision Vs. Animal Rights Vs. Slavery

Although the Supreme Court has steamrolled over our property rights secured through the blood of the American Revolution, animal rights are increasing. The court can take mere human property at will but the birds get an environmental impact statement and evaluation that is very difficult to over rule.

We loose our freedom that comes from the private ownership of land and find ourselves at the whim of some bought off judiciary in the future. This is the way slavery is instituted. If you cannot own property to live on, it is only a matter of time until you become someone's slave to work their property. The founders of the country knew this but the judges of this land have forgotten it. If you cannot own property, you cannot be free.

When the birds, fish, and animals are protected and human beings are put out into the street at the discretion of an unelected official working for Pepsi Cola something is really screwed up. That something is the law schools of this land. They teach relative truth. Case law instead of constitutional law. The king (Supreme Court) has become law once again instead of the Constitution being the king that rules over all of us. I am outraged.

You can read Justice Thomas dissent of this latest travesty of justice here. It is a great read.
I pray that there will be such a great howl go up from the blog world that it will be heard around the world.

The Buffalo Vs. IED's

The newest weapon in the war on terror has arrived in Iraq. It is named the Buffalo and is part of the technology that is used now to clean up the roadways of IED's that are set out each night.
It is a beefed up version of a South African design and is heavily armored in case an explosive device goes off. It is equipped with a manipulator arm to handle the IED. They also have jamming equipment that jams the signal from a cell phone or garage door opener that is used to set off these things. Let's all pray that this thing saves many lives.

Chicago Cops Expose Pimps

Chicago law enforcement again leads the way in stopping crime. They are posting the faces and info about all the pimps that they arrest. This is a very good move in the right direction. Minnesota and Minneapolis should follow suit. Criminals and crime can only be stopped with citizen involvement and the internet is the way to do it.

Minnesota Government ?

The government is in special session and the Dems are doing all that they can to destroy a good state. Knee jerk liberals abound in this beautiful place. Too much good living makes some people crazy so the Dems are threatening to stop the Minnesota government by not approving the budget. Just like Clinton did back in 96? (95?)

I was in Malaysia and on my way to Cambodia back then but I lost my passport. The embassy was closed. All non vital government agencies were closed around the world. So I prayed. Within 12 hours I had a new passport issued from an embassy that was closed. Then I needed a new visa stamp. It was a Muslim holy day. The Muslim government in K.L. was closed. So I prayed. In 3 hours I had a new visa and made it on the next plane. I was delayed less than 24 hours due to the loss.

Then I returned to K. L. and my host got a phone call. Someone had found my lost fanny pack and located my hosts business card in it. He returned the old passport, my wallet, over $400 in cash, and all of my credit cards, license, etc. Pretty amazing !

But most liberals would say it was just a coincidence.

Hot, Hot, Hot

My car thermometer said 102 when I was standing still and an even 100 when moving. With AC on full blast it could still keep up with the 65 dewpoint, but just barely. I installed a trellis next to my two new grape vines and replaced an "Arctic Blue" willow hybrid that died last winter due to the lack of snow cover to insulate the roots from the sub zero temps. Then I came in and sat down in the AC and the sweat still rolled off of me for the next 20 minutes. It is summer in Minnestoa.

Big thunderstorms are forecast for this evening then we drop again to 85 tomorrow. No need to water the lawn. Ice tea and AC. Yup !

The 75th Christian Carnival

The 75th Christian Carnival is up at http://www.quikonnex.com/channel/page/SavingGrace
This "Road Trip" by Dee is fun and interesting. But my post for this week reads like I am taking a moderate Christian viewpoint instead of Rev. Danforth. Just a small tweak away from making sense. I should have used Danforth's name instead of the pronoun He.
Thanks Dee for all of your work.

Africans In Minnesota - HIV

A new report has come out from Minnesota Department of Health. It shows that African born individuals in 2002 accounted for 1 % of the population but were infected with 21% of the new HIV cases in Minnesota that year. This report is a very good gauge of the high prevalence of HIV in Africa. Immigration to the US obviously took place after the contraction of the disease in the country of their origin.

The labs here in Minnesota have begun to track the strains of HIV and in the process have found African HIV subtypes are now entering into the Minnesota mainstream. This is good to know because of the need to adjust medications, treatment, and diagnostics. There is still much to do to stop this killer but thank God for this recent increase of knowledge that can be put to use in the fight to overcome it.

You can read about it here.

Face Bakers Get Good News

There is a new cream (Aldara) for the treatment of actinic keratosis (AK), a precancerous skin condition caused by chronic sun exposure. It seems to have long term benefits for those who have had too much sun and can actually reverse the precancerous skin back normal health.

You can thank your corporate partners at 3M for this new cream. Researchers at the University of Minnesota were part of the investigation team that oversaw the development and testing of this new and seemingly effective cream.

Actually, many of us upper midwesterners are fair haired and light eyed. We are the most at risk for overdoing the sun. When I was a young man it seemed to be a right of Spring to burn yourself into a pink sort of tan. Now that I am 60 I can see the effects of such foolishness. Biblically speaking, I can only predict more and more trouble with this as we come down to the end. A wise person should wear sunscreen, but now we have a cream that can help us if we failed in that area. Yet an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. You can bet this cream will be expensive.

"Onward Moderate Christian Soldiers"

The N.Y. Times published a item on June 17th by the former Senator from Missouri and now Episcopal minister, the Rev. John C. Danforth. Danforth is arguing that he is the voice of the moderate Christian in the U.S. He is making the point that he is a Christian and disagrees with the conservative Christian voice that is rising in America. You can read the entire article here but you will have to register (free). This is just one of a series of articles by him.

I have a few objections to his opinion.

1st. The Christian voice in America is not "rising" It has always been there. It is just now being heard because the MSM is starting to come down. America has always been a conservative Christian country. It has never been a moderate Christian country. If the voice is rising it is because the bankrupt policies of the moderate voice are beginning to hit the fan.

2nd. Just because opinions or convictions are held strongly does not validate them. Sorry kids, you are not the center of the universe. Haven't you heard? Your opinion does not matter to an omnipotent and omniscient God. He just simply assumes He is right. Of course He does love you and is willing to listen while you vent your foolishness.

3rd. Danforth says, "Our difference concerns the extent to which government should, or even can, translate religious beliefs into the laws of the state." I say, the government will codify someone's ideas and opinions, I just think it should be Biblical ideas in a Christian country. Oh, but I forgot, you don't see America as Christian. Actually we almost agree here. I find it takes a lot of faith to believe America is Christian these days. Let me see.... "All men are created equal"... Oh yes, there it is. A belief in the Creator God.

4th. Danforth also says, "But for us, the only absolute standard of behavior is the commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves. " Well, at least you believe in at least one absolute, but I have to take exception here. The first commandment, and most important one, is to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, and soul. And this is absolutely without exception. You see, this is how many, many, good meaning people begin to slide down the slippery slope into error and heresy. They get the 2nd most important commandment in front of the 1st most important one and thus put man ahead of God. This always leads to oblivion. You cannot but your faith, and hope in flesh and expect to please a God who is Spirit.
A man centered gospel is always full of error and compromise and "good ideas." A man centered church is a glorified country club and although a man centered government seems good, it will always make its decisions based on what is good instead of what is right. Pragmatism is not a Bible word.

5th. Here is another Danforth excerpt. "Following a Lord who reached out in compassion to all human beings, we oppose amending the Constitution in a way that would humiliate homosexuals." Here you expose yourself as someone who has only a passing knowledge of God. God will humiliate all homosexuals, adulterers, drunkards, and fornicators to eternal hell if they don't repent. Or am I being too harsh? Anyhow, I have a hard time seeing the constitution as some kind of Bible tract.

I should end this now before I get myself in too much trouble. This attempt by Danforth to be a moderate Christian puts him more in the camp of the atheistic humanists than in the camp of the Lord. Danforth is sincerely wrong.

Yahoo Top Pornographer

Yahoo has proven to be one of the top pornographer's in the world. It makes millions off of the exploitation of children with web sites titled 9-17 Year Olds Wantin' Sex, Girls 13 and Under for Older Guys, etc. It is facing a $10 million dollar lawsuit for this activity.

Major corporations have their ads on these web sites. Diet Pepsi, Countrywide Mortgage, State Farm Insurance, Georgia-Pacific, have all found that their ads support child porn. To their credit, most of them have removed their ads when they were contacted. Corporate ads bring in about half of Yahoo's income.

Our U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales says that this is all legal!!

Give me a break! Gonzales says that we may need a change in the law in Congress. We have changed the laws many times. What there is, is no will prosecute due to activist judges overturning any gain that is made. There is big money in porno.

People who want to get their freak on are putting children and women in danger. Their desire for their own gratification causes them to disregard the effect this all has on the innocent. They call it a victimless crime yet the victims keep stacking up. Person after person with ripped up lives. Hey Gonzales ! Spare us the moral and legal spin. Just do your job.

Beyond Belief !

Numerous employee's were eyewitness's to a Kansas doctor microwaving and then eating an aborted baby, but the State refuses to prosecute because there is no law against it? OMG ! And now we hear of a Russian service that makes stem-cell shots out of dead babies that they collect from the abortionists ! Happy Fathers day ?

The fathers don't have a say. The child they created is sold to chemists and made into an anti-aging cream. This is more outrageous than words can express. This is madness!

It costs $9,000 per session and there is heavy demand. Some people will do ANYTHING to make a buck. A dead baby is worth about $200 now. And you can be paid extra if you wait until it is full term before aborting.

Think I am making this stuff up? Read all about it here.
Ideas do have consequences.

The 5,555 Visitor

The sitemeter report came in today and said that I have had 5,555 visitors since I added it to my site. This is quite a milestone and I am amazed at how many people from so many places have looked in on this blog. I have started using Statcounter now and find the service to be in a league of its own. The technology available now is mind blowing to this 60 year old man.

Google's Ranking Criteria

Google has applied for a patent and has exposed its top secret criteria for ranking sites in the process. As a result, if you know what you are doing, and can custom build your web site, you will be able to optimize your site to gain a higher ranking.

Too bad for me... All I know how to do is turn my computer on and type what I think is important into Blogspot. But in a way, it seems that Google likes that. If they see any kind of fake pattern of spam type activity they downgrade your ranking.

You can read about it here on Buzzle.

Like E-Maps? Thank The University Of Minnesota

All of this new flurry of electronic map technology has sprung from the University of Minnesota's St. Paul Campus. NASA wanted it developed, The U of MN did it as open source and now the whole WWW has it. Cool!

Now here is a good idea. Pay the parking meter through your cell phone.

Culture Of Death

The death vultures, who cannot understand the intrinsic value of life, have spoken what they think is the last word about Terri Schiavo. They declare themselves right. Terri's brain was small and non-functional. They just don't get it.

It is not about the size of her brain. It was about her value to her parents and siblings. They wanted her. There was no written or verifiable record of her wishes. Let her live. No more, no less.

To argue the scientific details about her brain, sight, perception was only a distraction from the main point. She was loved. She was alive. She was wanted. Why did they want her to be starved to death?

The reason? They did not value life.

If you just have to have more information you can read details here.

Proverb For Fathers

Proverbs 17:6 for Father's day.

Children's children are the crown of old men,
And the glory of children is their father.
To all the kids out there that have Dads that stuck it through and loved you and your Mother. Dad's who saw you as the joy of their hearts.... Thank them today. Hug their neck wither they like it or not.

To all the others who come from broken situations...I remind you...
God is a Father to the fatherless. He has not overlooked you. He came to seek and save you and His mercy endures forever. Thank Him.

Happy Father's day.

Dot XXX Is A Farce

You have probably all read about this on World Net Daily but here is a little more on it.
Why would a money grubbing porno freak "volunteer" to move his web sites to an XXX domain name? Because he is a nice guy? Because he is concerned about the neighborhood? Bunk!
Stupid idea. Michael Reagan is behind this. It is just plane silly. To try to require porno freaks to move their sites would be overturned in the courts. Here is a email from my friend Pat Trueman former candidate for 6th District here in Minnesota and former part of Reagan- Bush's Committee on obscenity and Senior Legal Counsel for the Family Research Council. He can talk pretty plain when he needs to and has more expertise on this subject than just about anybody in the US.

Note that Michael Reagan (son of Pres. Reagan) is pushing Congress to pass a law, to be called the "Michael Reagan Online Child Protection Act" requiring pornographer to locate on the .xxx domain on the notion that "then I can block anything that is .xxx coming into my home." Unfortunately, it is not that simple. He would still have to block porn on the .com domain. Pornographers will not willingly go to .xxx, just because there is a law. There already is a law prohibiting them from selling hardcore porn, yet they have been doing it for years and they can be prosecuted under federal obscenity or RICO laws which not only provide very heavy fines and jail time but also forfeiture of all their assets. So what is needed is not another new law -- which will likely be tied up in the courts for years -- but vigorous prosecution of current obscenity laws. Attorney General Gonzales is on his way to doing this. Also, all law requiring pornographers to move is constitutionally suspect. Pornography is presumptively protected under the 1st Amendment so until the material is shown to be obscene or child pornography, it is protected speech. Thus all pornographers on the .com will argue that their material has not been shown to be obscene and thus they cannot be forced to move to .xxx. That is why I say that the .xxx gives false hope to parents.
This new idea can still be stopped in the Commerece Department if we have the resolve but I highly doubt that it will happen.
Compromised men and women are everywhere. It is like drug addicts trying to stop drugs.

Electomagnetic Pulse Problems

One of the growing threats that Americans are becoming aware of is the threat of a low-yield nuclear weapon being set off in the atmosphere 200 miles over the North American continent.
This could be accomplished by anybody who has a boat, a scud missile, and small nuclear bomb. We have no defense against it. Yet.

And it would send us back to the 19th century and cause maybe millions of deaths over time as it would knock out our electrically dependent infrastructure. This phenomena is called Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP). Due to a rush of free electrons all electrical conducting components would be shorted out. Only the most vital of military counter strike facilities would be immune. Even some of Canada and Mexico would be knocked out. Phones, lights, water plants, sewers, computers and even cars and trucks would be damaged beyond quick repair. With on demand inventories running at about a 3 day supply, we would be out of food in about a month. Water would be a crisis in about 3 days. It could take as much as 2 years of good luck to get the total infrastructure back up and running, if we could get the supplies to do it. And no supplies are stockpiled for such an event.

We found out about this potential when we set a bomb off 250 miles over the Pacific in the early 60's and Hawaii shorted out over 870 miles away. Even Australian radio was affected. This scared us and Russia enough to sign an Atmospheric Test Ban Treaty. We mere mortals never even heard about it.

To harden the infrastructure enough to survive such an attack is economically unworkable and would take decades. With Iran's 20+ years of work they will probably have a nuclear bomb soon. Reagan was probably right. Star Wars technology is probably vital to our survival.

Maybe this is why we don't see America in the prophetic scriptures? But heck, Simpsons come on in 5 minutes so I better wrap this up for now.

20 U.S. Companies Control 70% of 297 Million Porn Links

Just 20 companies control 70% of the World Wide Webs 297 million links to porn. The enemy has been identified by a web crawler called PornCrawler. This means that if the U.S. Justice Department targets its prosecutions against these 20 companies it would have a monumental impact. Florida Family Association is targeting two of the companies that lie within its borders but we need to take them all down.
You can read all about it here

Why We Sued The University Of Minnesota

Here we go again. This time at SIU (Southern Illinois University) The Christian Legal Society there was forced to file a lawsuit in order to preserve the meaning of who they are. Because they are a Christian group they naturally want their members and officers to be Christians. But no-o-0 ! The Christian Legal Society has had to ask for a preliminary injunction in order to stop the university officials from suspending their campus benefits as a student group.

What has happened to the minds of the campus officials? Have they gone mad? Christians have the right to be Christians and freely associate with other Christians. They can say whatever they want and believe the bible freely and openly.

We felt we needed to sue the University of Minnesota last year for the same reason. We sued in a pre-emptive manner. Before we were restricted on campus. We knew we needed to do this because of what had already happened at Rutgers and Tufts. This insanity is slowly working its way through the university system of this country.

The University of Minnesota never even went to court. They settled out of court with our very good and dedicated attorneys from the Alliance defense team.

You can read about the case at SIU here.

25 Cent Emergency

There is a real war going on between the Colorado and Minnesota governors and it is over who has the best design on their states version of a quarter. It is time for all Minnesotan' people to speak up and be heard. The call from the MOB elder has gone out to us. Go now to www.radioblogger.com
Vote early and vote often over this point of pride. And if you are still confused about all of this here are a few reasons to vote for Minnesota.
1. We have boats... they have only trees and mountains.
2. But we also have trees... and they are on hills so big that we even call them mountains.
3. We have one of the worlds most adorable water birds. Who can't love a Loon?
4. We have a state motto. The best they can do is "colorful?"
5. We were a official state a full 18 years before them.
6. Oh, and did I mention lakes and fishing ?
Come on ! You don't even have to think about it. Vote now !
Thanks Chad for the heads up. We were all falling asleep watching the PBS fundraising drive on this beautiful Sunday night.

The Temples Of Nickern

The Germans are back at it again. They are still trying to dig up their past and link themselves to an ancient and noble people. This time they are digging up the earth and finding a civilization 2000 years older than the Pyramids and Stonehenge. (Which conveniently makes them the probable origins of civilization) You can read about this here.

This led me to find a new blog site called Orbis Quintus. He dug a little deeper and found some of the info about this Temple of Nickern and linked to a magazine that has pro-Aryan leanings. This leads one to believe that the German archaeologists working on this project called Temples of Nickern are old school. Himmler is still trying to dig up the past glories of Germany through a new generation. The problem is that 3,000 years ago the Germans were not in Germany but in Scandinavia. Oh well, it just keeps getting tougher to be normal.

The Barbarian Way

I just finished a very interesting book written by a young family man from El Salvador named Edwin Raphael McManus named The Barbarian Way. It is published by Thomas Nelson. This is pretty radical reading so I don't suggest this book be read by those who are set in their ways. This book is for those of us who feel like Barbarians in the western Christian church.

"Many in the Church would have you believe you have just bought into a group plan, and of course the package is always the premium plan ... Get rich, get comfortable, get secure, get safe, get well when you get God..."

"Somewhere along the way the movement of Jesus Christ became civilized as Christianity. We created a religion using the name of Jesus Christ and convinced ourselves that God's optimal desire for our lives was to insulate us in a spiritual bubble where we risk nothing, sacrifice nothing, lose nothing, worry about nothing. I wonder how many of us have lost our barbarian way and have become embittered with God, confused in our faith because God doesn't come through the way we think He should."

"Jesus is being lost in the religion bearing His name. People are being lost because they cannot reconcile Jesus' association wih Christianity. Christianity has become docile, domesticated, civilized. We have forgotten that there is a kingdom of darkness stealing the hopes and dreams and souls of a humanity without God..."

These are just a few quotes from the book that will give you an idea of where the author is going with his approach. It is an exciting read for those who have had it with "proper" religion in America. McManus has set the course for straight ahead, passionate, risk-filled Christianity that looks once again like the barbarian early church in the book of Acts before it became Romanized. A church that lives from its heart and not solely from the intellect. A church that challenges the status quo wherever it goes.

McManus is the lead pastor for an experimental church in Los Angeles called Mosaic. He is also a lecturer and futurist that is associated with Bethel University and Seminary right here in Minnesota. He inspires this 60 year old ex-hippie to remember my roots and return to the "fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants" Christianity that lead my wife and family to move to Minnesota in 1981 and establish a "radical" church at the University. Yes!

Faces...Theirs....And Ours

This cracked me up. Enjoy.

Bike Trails

Minnesota is the top metro area in the US for commuter bikers and has a very active bike community. As a result we also are one of the best states for bike trails and they seem to go no forever.

There is hardly anything more enjoyable to me than a leisurely bike journey down these trails and the adventure of finding something new. I am getting older now but used to bike long distances just to enjoy the ride. My trips are getting shorter now and I am being advised that I need to buy a recumbant bike. Hmm?

Anyhow, there is a great website of all the bike trails with photos, features, and maps at this web site. We all need to get out of the house more these days.

Red Tide Disaster

Is it just me or do others think about these scriptures every year when the reports come from around the world about a "red tide" problem? Here is todays report from CBS news about the problem in Massachusetts.

Rev 8:8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
Rev 16:3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead [man]: and every living soul died in the sea. And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
This alage is toxic. It kills and poisons marine life. This is the worst it has been since 1972. It seems to come with the warming of the waters. Here is a link to more scientific information about these things.

Please save the "rapture" and "a-millennial/post-millenial" rants for the "end." And no, I am not a dispensationalist. I just believe every word in the Bible.

Talkin' Smack

You gotta love the way The Minor Prophet puts this....
The new Pope is laying down the smack.

Take a look at what the new Pope is saying about gay marriage on the Minor Prophet here.

The Wilderness Experience

Blogs for Believers...
What is the wilderness experience that we all go through from time to time? The children of Israel went to the desert, as John the Baptist, and even Jesus did. What is out in the desert that we need to go there? The answer ?... Sand, nothing but sand.

The world is so full of distractions that we loose focus. In the desert we learn what is important is that our hand is in His hand. All that matters is the fact that He loves us. From time to time we forget that. We even try to fill the void with things that we think will satisfy, but they never do. So we need to stare at the sand long enough that we are desperate again for life. That is when He comes. And asks us where we have been. And we say we are just glad to be back. We were so busy "doing." He just wanted us to abide with Him.

Then, and only then, will the desert blossom again. Then, there will be springs that spring up and roses that blossom. But they will no longer distract us. They will once again speak of our Lord and Savior. The creator of the universe. We will be in right relationship once again. He is the Creator and the creation speaks of His glory.

United States Human Rights

Publius Pundit has posted an excellent insight. He has gone online and googled each country's name along with the search words of "human rights abuses" His results show the totally skewed results. The USA is seen as the leader by far with three times as many abuses as China, etc.
You should look at the blog and follow his links and then come back here.

I posted my thoughts about this as a comment. Here is what I had to say.

excellent insight. I am linking to this post.

While the stats look skewed towards bias (that is surely there) I believe that the truth lies in the fact that the US is just about the only country that is doing anything in the way of police work for the world.

The usual then happens in this rebellious and dishonoring world. The one doing anything is criticized by unproductive wanna-bes.

No wonder all the charactered and skilled people withdraw from leadership. It is like a father who leaves the rebellious household and just walks off from his position of leadership.

I am sure that most Americans really would just like to withdraw and let the world go to hell, but no man is an island. Face it, if you are moving, you are a target.

This is one of the plagues that comes with a dishonoring society. A society where nobody is greater than me. God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. Death to the anti-hero.

E-Government

I wrote a blog recently about how the Chicago police department went online with moment by moment crime statistics and locations. I believe that we should demand this of our local governments. This takes crime out of the hands of politicians as a political spin. But now I see that South Korea is about to go online in every area of government. This would mean that the average citizen as well as businessman could access all of the information that the government has in any area of interest (given privacy safeguards are in place) that the individual has.

Builders could find out where the new infrastructure is being installed as soon as the graft ridden city councilmen make the decision. This would take the "good old boys" out of the information pockets of governmental officials. Any person could find out the crime statistics of the schools in their area and make good decisions about where to send their kids. Small businessmen could find out the new zoning info as it comes online. I think you get the idea.

This is something we must have sooner than later. We must all begin to request and require this sort of governmental openness and reporting. It should not cost too much because the digital infrastructure is already there. It is just procedure and policy that needs to be addressed.

If South Korea can do it, why not U.S. ? You can read more here at Smart Blogs. Here is a link to my blog on Chicago.

This excites me to possibilities.

Some of the worst persecution of Christians this year is happening in Eritrea.
Jack Lewis reports on it here.

Man And Dinosaurs

Finally there is authoritative admission to the fact that man and (some) dinosaurs roamed the earth together. Of course there has been the (denied) evidence of the Taylor Trail in Glen Rose,
Texas and the Paluxy River Morris Track and others.
(All disputed because they were not found by the "authorities.") But now there is something new in Australia.

The evidence is that Australia's Megafauna Coexisted With Humans. You can read all about it here
