I am now a simple Grandpa who's life is made richer as each grandchild is born. My wife and I have raised five children and the 30 year love labor of raising them has begun to yield sweet fruit..... And then there are fruits of 30 years in ministry ... I am a satisfied old man full of the joy of the Lord.

Over The Top Liberalism

Some people say that Christians are,"so heavenly minded that they are of no earthly use." But I would like to say that there are liberals who worship at the altar of liberalism. They are champions in the, " I am more sensitive and caring" game that so many people play.

today's over-the-top liberal principal of a public school, thought it was good and sensitive to not offend anyone's tender little heart with a picture in their yearbook of an American coin that had written on it the words, "in God we trust." Never mind that the air waves, mail boxes, and internet are full of super offensive porno, commercialism, and blasphemy against the true Christian church. We sure wouldn't want any little kiddies to read "in God we trust." It might confuse and traumatized them. So they air bushed it out of the photo.

If this was just one official with a mental problem it wouldn't be so bad. But it seems to emerge everyday as a liberal mantra. This is too much. These folks cannot see the forest for the trees.

The Left's pervasive forest blindness does constantly amaze me. How clear the worldviews and identifications are versus the Secular-Humanist heart. And how profound the difference of the subsequent realities. The anger comes from their belief of innate goodness of their heart. Their fury comes from the following rampant flagrant new standard: not just the heart -- emotions. The new standard, the new source of goodness, is not the heart but the feelings themselves. I guess I'm thinking also in light of the news today that students on the Left hounded and disrepected John McCain at a school where he was speaking.
Again, I agree with Hugh Hewitt on John McCain. He was a great American, is a bad Republican, and is a terrible Senator. However, the projection of hate against Bush, the USA, and even God is not only mis-sourced and mis-placed, it's over-the-top.

I'm not very good with words so I'm just going to say...that is really stupid. Just stupid.

We are such a dumb, sinful people. Why does "In God we Trust" offend and not porn? Cause nearly everyone is a porn freak! But don't dare tell them that their porn freaks...that's what they're trying to stay away from. Instead, call someone else the freak and quickly, before someone finds out their all porn freaks! "Who can we draw attention to, and not to ourselves....oh those God-lovers. I know I'm not a freak for God, so I won't be exposed. Just so I can look good and not like the porn freak I am..."

No, trying to block porn from kids instead of God would be too offensive, since everyone's toes would be stepped on!

Stupid.

Well, once again, Bruce, you have successfully highlighted the mind of the Self-Anointed Elite at work. Basically, their default position is to take the opposite stance of whatever the 'benighted masses' like or believe, no matter how stupid, counter-production, or inconsistant that minority position is. Such opposition helps to highlight and emphasize their 'favored elite status'. But perhaps if the coin had one of the following multicultural, politically correct alternatives embossed on it, the coin would have stayed in the yearbook photo.

"In Goddess We Trust"
"In Algore We Trust"
"In Wellstone We Trust"
"In Condoms We Trust"
"In God We Distrust"
"In God Fools Trust"
"Trust No One But Yourself"
"In Our Trust Funds We Trust"
