Russia Tracking Israel Defense Forces For Hezbollah

This from the Jerusalem Post. Russia has set up listening posts on the Syrian border with Israel and has been forwarding all information about the movement of Israeli troops to Hezbollah now for over 10 years. These posts are manned by Russian military officers who pass the info on to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Dramatic Drop In Murder After D.C. Prayer Event

In mid July of 2006, the Christian Defense Coalition ( Contact: Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Christian Defense Coalition, 202-547-1735, 540-538-4741 cell) organized a week long 24 hour prayer vigil under a large tent on the Mall following the announcement of a "crime emergency" by Washington, D.C. officials.

Now, 6 months later, official reports say that there was a 27% drop in murder in the murder capitol of the US But, this was probably just a coincidence, right? Did anyplace else with a population this size see this sort of drop?

Eagle Carrying Deer Head Snags Power Line And Causes Power Outage

Just so you know that I am still here I am going to post something strange today.

An eagle who was checking out the local dump in Alaska found a prize too good to pass up. He grabbed the deer head discarded by a hunter in his claws and took off flying. But he was just a little short of power on the take off and snagged the power line. There was an explosion and the eagle was dead on the scene. The deer head was found near its carcass.

No prophetic significance. Just very strange. Read more here.

Take a look at this spectacular movie of the comet McNaught. The disk in the center that is blanked out is the sun. This movie is taken over a period of 4 days. This is the comet sweeping into its orbit around the sun. Wow ! Be sure to watch the stars moving in the background also as the earth and sun sweep through our galaxy.

Chagas Parasite Disease Now In Louisiana

Chagas is known as the "kissing bug" because at night as person sleeps it crawls up and drinks the saliva at the edges of a persons mouth and at the same time defecates and urinates. In that fecal material dwells a parasite that enters the persons body, is incurable, and eventually kills the person by destroying the heart.

Some experts estimate the number of people in Latin American countries who have this disease to be 25%. About 25% of these will suffer heart damage. So .o6% of the population suffers heart damage from this one bug. You can read the Wikipedia entry on this here.

What does this mean to me? I would in no way consider camping out in states below the Mason Dixon line. ;-) Actually my two youngest sons were visited by the bug one night on a trip to Costa Rica. How did we know? They had a rash around their mouths in the morning from a reaction to the fecal material. By the grace of God, the bug that attacked them was not infected with the parasite.
