I am now a simple Grandpa who's life is made richer as each grandchild is born. My wife and I have raised five children and the 30 year love labor of raising them has begun to yield sweet fruit..... And then there are fruits of 30 years in ministry ... I am a satisfied old man full of the joy of the Lord.

Are You A Heretic ?

Here's a great little quiz that will tell you what you believe and how you stand up to historic Christian doctrine. It is fun to take. You might be surprised by "error" in your thinking.

Take it and let me know the results. I will post my results tomorrow.

You can take the test here.

You are a Pelagian. You reject ideas about man's fallen human nature and believe that as a result we are able to fully obey God. You are the first Briton to contribute significantly to Christian thought, but you're still excommunicated in 417.

Ok that last one turned out weird. All my numbers tabbed over so I look like a freekoliatarian. try this again. Besides ,the more junk we put on Bruce's comments, the more money he gets from google.

i think that these minority percentage scores on these other "isms" is due mostly to the wording of some of the questions . . .

Carlton here. Ok, this is the *worst* than I can be. I figure, if someone misunderstands me then this is the worst heresy balance they will believe I have… hopefully. I had a hard time understanding exactly where the questions were coming from. Eventually I had a pretty good idea, but I decided to be stubborn and picky in my interpretation. Like what I now know to be “modalism”: oh! I am *so* going to comment on that. And Nestorianism? What a joke difference between Chalcedon. But they’re both in the same body. Oh yeah, that helps. The question that got me rolling in laughter off my chair was the one about salvation ultimately ending in escape from *physical reality*! And the question about “at once…” … at once I don’t get it. At once. “Finally”?? It sounded like a test question against Mormonism… testing to see if you think God is *finally* complete. Maybe that’s the one question I still don’t understand. Except the question of being able to obey His commands and the people of the OT being righteous because of that fact… I knew what they wanted to hear and answered in the middle. I am studying that in light of Deut.30:11. Obviously the answer is faith. BUT, faith and obedience have such a close connection. And what came first, the chicken or the egg. (Rhetorical. I know the answer. DO YOU?) And I guess I never distinguished from my more Pelagian days how *exactly* the people of old could not also be said to have been righteous by their *obedience*. Are there more passages to clue one in? I will be looking. Of course, it surprises me that I wasn’t still all Chalcedon. I go to the most Chalcedon church in the known Chalcedon universe … or in physical reality, for that matter. “Matter”: get it?? And who is Eucharist anyway? My personal Mormonism rating is negative 33%, because I believe God can become Man. But that’s just me. Though I probably have some Einsteiniism in me too. Gotta get rid of that.
Moreover. While posting this Adoptionist? Nah, that's not me. I don't know where they got that. Monarchianism? If you're going to be modal, ya gotta go Monarchian. Appolo 33? Whatever.
Furthermore. Seriously glad I took the test. Catcha later.

This is kind of goofy. I'm pretty theologically anal-retentive, I know exactly what those heresies are, and I know that I don't align with them at all. Yet, I didn't score any better than what I did below. I personally think that there's some precision in phraseology lacking on that quiz (or some of the scripting is wrong).
