Christian Legal Society Rights Restored At SIU
Christian Legal Society, a student organization on many campuses around the US, was kicked off of campus at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill. No clear charges were given but just some accusations of intolerance. But a sane judge finally restored their status.
This sort of thing began around 3 years ago. Accusations against Christian campus organizations were being leveled by activist pro-homosexual individuals that feigned abuse because they would not be allowed membership or leadership positions unless they quit practicing unbiblical sex. The Universities would immediately react and throw the Christian organization off of the campus without a real legal basis. The Christian organization then would loose months of time on campus and suffer a decline in their momentum as they had to go to court to restore their rights.
It is because of this potential problem that we sued the U of MN a few years back. They never even took it to court. They rewrote the handbook to accommodate the Christian viewpoint.
I guess SIU has a sleeping legal department.

Ironic: the sleepy legal department got them further in damage to the Christians, huh?
